We all have white blood cells. They are really good, because they are part of the body’s immune system, which fights disease. Some white blood cells (macrophages) eat up nasty bacteria, others produce antibodies that bind to viruses and bacteria so that the macrophages know to eat the bacterial cells and not our body cells. When we get injured, white blood cells flock to the site of the injury to try and attack any invading bugs.

      Hi candyboo14
white blood isn’t something you get, it is a natural part of our blood already. Blood looks red when it comes out of the body, but if you spin it really fast you can get different things that separate out. One of these things is white blood cells and this is where your DNA is. It’s definitely a good thing to have white blood cells or we wouldn’t exist!

I’ve never met anyone with white blood, but everyone does have white blood cells in their blood, and they are produced by bones.
