I think so– you can look up how good universities are for research online and it’s rated very highly: http://www.theguardian.com/education/2009/may/10/universityguide-royal-holloway-uni-london

However, which university you choose to go to depends on what you want to study. If you’re interested in one area of science in particular, try looking at the researchers at different universities, because those are the people who will be teaching you. If you want to go into science it helps to do research projects in the summer (you can often get paid to do this!) and so picking a university that’s good for what you want to study might be helpful.

      Hi Harry
I’ve just had a look at the royal holloway website and it looks a great place to do science. In addition to degrees what I like about it is there are lots of Masters degrees that look really practical and could possibly lead to jobs at the end. I think it is important to pick somewhere that does the subject you like, but also looks like a good place to be – is it easy to get to? is it reasonably priced to live there? is there a lot to do nearby? You should definitely go and visit and see if you like the lecturers and the set up. I must admit I don’t know the University of London at all (royal holloway is a part of this) but the website looks promising.
