I’ve had loads of jobs, mostly when I was at school or doing my A-levels, or in the summer when I was at uni. I worked in a prison on and off for four years, and I’ve worked as a medical secretary, in a toothpaste factory, a petrol station, a golf club, at the Gran Prix, and a restaurant. The worst one though was working in the kitchens in a hotel, as a kitchen porter. I would wash the dishes, mop the floors, scrub the equipment, empty the bins and so on. I didn’t mind doing any of those things. What I didn’t like was that the people there treated me, like I was their slave to be shouted at and ordered around without saying please or thankyou. After that experience, I always make sure I am polite to everyone, especially those working jobs that nobody else wants to do.
Hi thecoldassdonkey
When I was at school and university I did loads of jobs – worked in a nursing home, worked in a cafe, nightclub, bars, shops. I think the worst was cleaning toilets after a big night out in the nightclub. That was the worst!
When I was at university I got hired by some posh people to look after their pet rabbit. I thought it would be easy, but the rabbit was really naughty and I spent hours chasing it around their massive garden!
