      Well, I’ve started getting a few grey hairs already, even though I’m not even 30 yet! The reason people go grey is because, in our hair follicles, we have cells called melanocytes which produce the pigment that gives our hair its colour. However, these get less efficient when we get older, and eventually die without being replaced, which means that the follicles can’t add colour to our hair.
