• Question: Have you ever had to disect an animal to try to discover what was wrong with another animal and if so, what did you discover?

      No, @keanamiller, I’ve never done any dissection. Almost all of my science is about analysing data using computers. I don’t think I’d enjoy dissecting animals to find out more, but I have a lot of respect for people who do. The things they learn can help a lot of people.

    I dissected a rat as part of my biology A’level. It was fascinating and something I will never forget. I’ve never dissected anything since. However, through my work with families with genetic disorders I have observed surgey which I guess is real life dissection on humans!
