Not a result exactly, but I’ve learned a lot about maths and computer programming and I find that really interesting. I’ve had to learn a bit about how computers work and how to write programs for my work and, to be honest, I find that side of things really neat.

      Hi @bethanyh12
My current research asked 7000 people what they wanted to know from their genes. I found out that people are happy to learn about serious, life-threatening conditions that they can do nothing about. I also learned that they were happy to receive information that was uncertain or you couldn’t interpret.

It is very important to know this so that when it is possible to look at all 20,000 genes when you go to see your doctor, they know what sort of information people are OK about being given.
