• Question: whats the difference between mass and weight

      Hi fifaslaya
      the difference is gravity. On earth mass and weight are the same. But on the moon where there is no gravity our mass and weight are different and we are weightless.

      Adding to what Anna said: if you are in space, then the mass of a bowling ball is the same as usual so if you want to throw it, it’s still really difficult. But it’s weight is nothing, so if you drop it, it won’t go anywhere.
