• Question: Will everyone get a disease at least once in their lifetime?

      Yes, if they are lucky! The unlucky ones die too young and don’t live long enough to get ill.

      Yes. Disease is a fact of life. Fortunately we have great health care so we survive almost all of them.

      @jjnsarson Yes, in fact little kids get ill a lot of the time and this is good because it means that they develop antibodies so that if they get the illnes in the future they are protected from getting ill. My son is 2 and he has a constant cough, cold, spots etc – he is getting ill every 5 minutes. I feel OK about it as he is just getting exposed to lots of different viruses and bacteria and his body is learning how to protect him from them in the future.

      I think it’s extremely likely that everyone will get sick at some point in their life, unless they die very quickly from an accident. There are lots of pathogens (viruses and bacteria, mostly) around us and it would be very unlikely for someone to never get a disease.
